SCTE put a bow on the 40th edition of the Cable-Tec Expo last week, and this year’s show had a different yet positive feel to it. Among the changes included the addition of a policy track as well as programming tailored for security, but a longtime show subject also flexed its muscles: DOCSIS 4.0. While Expo is done and dusted, the Title II debate at the FCC is well underway—again. The Commission voted to launch a new proceeding on the regulation of broadband as a Title II service. The next step is the public comment period, which runs until December 14.
