The Skinny

The new-look Leadership Development Week opened in high gear as The WICT Network’s Leadership Conference kicked off with music, mentorship and a little emotion. Maria Brennan, in her final year as WICT’s President/CEO, joked about trading her heels for a pickleball racket, while former SAG-AFTRA chief Fran Drescher reminded folks that leadership doesn’t require “male energy”—just wisdom, empathy and authenticity. Later this week, the Kaitz Event will shake things up when it debuts its own reimagination, ditching the black-tie dinner for sneakers, live entertainment and even an auctioneer.
