Along with the rise of technology used by many in their daily lives comes an increase in security threats. FCC Commissioners Brendan Carr and Anna Gomez were on hand at CES on Wednesday to discuss cybersecurity and how regulators are approaching it, with Carr emphasizing a need to implement rules that aren’t too complicated or constrictive on the industry. It was a good precursor to Thursday’s House Communications Subcommittee hearing. The Subcommittee took a hard look at where network vulnerabilities remain and the need for more cybersecurity professionals.
