As we draw closer to SCTE's Cable-Tec Expo, Cablefax will highlight important tech stories in this eletter, making sure you're in the know when you tune in to the show.
Are you ready for this? Keep one eye on the clock because this year’s Expo will be on us before we know it. The show will really get going on Tuesday thanks to the General Session Spectacular at 10am ET, but plenty of programming is available Monday to get you prepared for conversations around 10G.
It all begins at 10am ET with the “10G and Convergence: A Perfect Union” Pre-Conference Session. The session includes more than four hours of scheduled content, including four keynotes and panel discussions covering everything from 10G’s potential to provide the foundation for mobile convergence and the services that are driving 10G infrastructure. Speakers from Charter, Cox, CommScope, Nokia, Shaw and more will ensure you have your 10G playbook is updated with the most recent data.
If that’s not enough, come back at 3:30pm ET for “The Road to 10G: Beneficial Maps, Playbooks and Decision Trees.” Comcast Fellow Robert Howald and CommScope Engineering Fellow, Access Technologies Zoran Maricevic will examine the upcoming cycle of DOCSIS 4.0 upgrades, common use cases for the technology and potential impacts to the network.
