Skidmore doesn’t allow herself to be locked into one platform. Her credits can be found across YouTube, VR headsets, traditional cable and much more. Building the digital division of the company, Skidmore continually looks to what’s coming next as far as the future of entertainment. She’s expanded into episodic VR, executive producing “GONE,” the first-ever scripted VR series from Samsung VR. Those efforts led to her biggest professional accomplishment to date: premiering her VR short “Dinner Party” at Sundance. “It was an incredible feat to finish the project on a short timeline and seeing people line up to view it in Park City was a dream come true.” In August, she launched video content brand GammaRay, and is planning to produce 100 pieces of original content across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube a month.

What has been your biggest professional accomplishment to date?

Premiering my VR short, ‘Dinner Party’ at Sundance. It was an incredible feat to finish the project on a short timeline and seeing people line up to view it in Park City was a dream come true.

How do you give back to your community?

I’m very politically active — I don’t think anyone can afford not to be these days. Most recently, I spent a lot of time canvassing for nearby swing districts for the Midterm Election.
