“I love starting my day with “Daily Jay” by Jay Shetty on the Calm app. It’s great for building mindfulness, stress management and self-awareness—traits every leader needs. Recently at Comcast, Jay and I discussed the importance of prioritizing mental well-being and integrating mindfulness into our routines for World Mental Health Day. Small practices can make a big difference!”
What female artist has dominated your playlists this year? Since attending Debra Lee’s Leading Women Defined conference early this year, where women in music was a topic, I’ve been intentional about exploring and supporting new artists like Black women in country music. Right now, I am loving Camille Parker and Brittany Spencer, who are amazing up-and-coming artists, and whose music has been the perfect addition to my playlist.
What skill are you currently working on? As I try to be “very mindful and very demure,” the skill I’m working on is saying “no” without over-explaining! Research shows that struggling to say it can lead to stress and burnout. I’ve learned that sometimes it’s okay for no to a full sentence, sometimes you just have to say it and move on!
