In order to promote horror satire series Bad Hair, Hulu created an 8-bit game incorporating parts of the plot: the player must travel to a VJ job interview circa 1989 and face pitfalls that continually mess up their hair. The game not only entertainingly promoted the show, but was described as attention-getting by Dan Colin of “Gamerant.” Hulu embraced the retro vibes of the late 1980s, while creating a short pixel art game that’s buzzworthy.
