Abbott Elementary Support for Public Schools & Educators

Giving back to educators and shining a light on their sacrifices was a key pillar of ABC’s marketing efforts for “Abbott Elementary.” With teachers often dipping into their own pockets to purchase basic school supplies, the team launched Abbott Elementary’s Traveling Teacher’s Lounge. The lounge visited schools in cities such as Philly, Houston, Dallas and Phoenix, with more than 18,000 notebooks donated, 120,000 writing tools, 20,000 arts and crafts materials and 1,000 books. ABC was also the first consumer brand, aside from nonprofits, to sponsor Scholastic book fairs at Title 1 schools that would not be financially able to meet the spend minimums otherwise.
