Wireless security provider AirTight Networks is marketing what it says is “the only cloud-managed, enterprise-class 802.11n Wi-Fi access solution embedded with AirTight's top-rated wireless intrusion detection and prevention (WIPS) for concurrent access and WIPS in a single AP platform.” The C60 platform reportedly costs 30-percent less than other enterprise-grade 3X3 802.11n solutions. The C60 can be operated as a 802.11n AP with or without background WIPS scanning on both radios, a 802.11n AP on one radio and dedicated WIPS sensor on the other radio scanning both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, or as a WIPS sensor on both radios, one scanning the 2.4 GHz frequency band and the other scanning the 5 GHz frequency band. The C-60 Platform, available in September, will start at $795…TEMS Monitor Master 9.0 from Ascom Network Testing targets wireless operators that want to deploy and assure service quality for Rich Communications Suite enhanced (RCS-e) services. The device allows carriers to monitor and troubleshoot apps to maintain a guaranteed service level for RSC-e-based messaging, image file transfer and, in the future, video-sharing services.
