Limelight Highlights IPv6 Support
Perhaps in observance of the upcoming World IPv6 Day, Ariz.-based Limelight Networks Inc. plans to offer businesses IPv6 support as part of its content delivery service.

"The 21st-century Web is growing and it is being built on IPv6," comments CTO Nathan Raciborski. "There is a real risk to customers around business continuity as the IPv4
Internet starts fading. The rapidly diminishing number of IPv4 addresses will limit the number of end users and devices that connect to an organization's digital presence.”
He continues, “Having built one of the world's 10 largest networks, we understand how critical a customer's digital presence is to their business. We are doing our part in speeding the transition by ensuring that all customers, particularly subscriber networks and content providers, are IPv6-enabled, at no charge."

Limelight’s IPv6 capabilities include:

>> Dual-stack (IPv4/IPv6) on the content delivery servers;
>> Native IPv6 routing across all network elements;
>> IPv6 routing table in all locations;
>> IPv6 Domain Name Services (DNS); and
>> IPv6 peering at IPv6-enabled Internet exchanges as well as private network interconnects
