MSG Networks is embracing daily fantasy sports as a vehicle to drive additional viewership for the Knicks, teaming up with DraftKings to produce a DFS-focused telecast of this Monday’s game against the Cavaliers. The alternate feed, set to air on MSG+, will combine discussion of daily fantasy strategy and stats with traditional play-by-play commentary.

Topics will include how to build a fantasy basketball lineup and all the factors that play into that, the different contests and game variants that DraftKings offers, the DK Live platform and all things fantasy basketball. Two DraftKings contributors–Julian Edlow and Greg Ehrenberg—will join MSG’s Bill Pidto, Alan Hahn and Wally Szczerbiak on the Knicks telecast.

The usual live broadcast of Knicks-Cavs will air on the flagship MSG station.

The partnership is the first of its kind for both DraftKings and MSG Networks, who already partner on a branded “Picks of the Night” segment. The DFS entity signed a long-term sponsorship deal with the Madison Square Garden Company in June 2015, shortly before the arena and team owner spun the RSNs off into a separate company.
