Ariz.-based iGo Inc. signed a global pact with wireless distributor Brightstar Corp. that has Brightstar selling a line of mobile accessories under iGo's Adapt Mobile brand. The first global shipments begin in the third quarter…Wireless broadband provider SpeedConnect is the new owner of DigitalBridge Communications assets that  include BridgeMAXX Internet Services in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and South Dakota. The new owner plans to upgrade the BridgeMAXX networks by deploying backhaul technologies and adding more wholesale Internet connection capacity…Troy Cable tapped ADTRAN as a strategic partner to deliver carrier access and enterprise solutions for the Broadband Technologies Opportunities Program (BTOP) funded SmartBand Project in Alabama that will include a 595-mile, fiber-optic, middle-mile network serving nearly 150 anchor institutions and 4,000 businesses…Smart-grid apps supplier Ambient Corporation says its X-3100 Smart Grid Node with embedded Sierra Wireless MC8355 module has been certified to operate on the Sprint network. The solution provides upstream and downstream high-speed data using cellular, serial, Ethernet, Power Line Communications (PLC), Wi-Fi and RF technologies...Novatel Wireless Inc. was granted a patent, "Systems and methods for multi-mode wireless modem," for its core invention covering intelligent mobile hot-spot products, home automation gateway devices, fixed mobile convergence routers and general M2M solutions involving wireless gateway implementation…Still no agreement between AT&T wireline workers and the  International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers regarding a one-year contract extension…Sandvine concluded a new supply arrangement with Alcatel Lucent relating to sales of Sandvine’s Network Policy Control solutions to an unnamed joint, multinational operator group customer. In connection with the agreement, Sandvine has received follow-on orders from five properties in the operator group worth approximately $2.5 million.
