($329/location) Download Motorola's Guide to 3DTV
Each registration comes with access to the archived version of the program, the materials provided by the speakers and a personalized certificate of completion for attending the Webinar.
The shift toward 3D video has only just begun, and yet big names in cable are trying to put early stakes in the ground. ESPN and Discovery have both announced 3D nets that will launch this summer and in 2011, respectively; DirecTV plans three 3D nets; and more announcements are expected soon. Meanwhile, the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show proved that numerous TV makers are quite serious about the technology. But what exactly is 3DTV and how long will it take to reach the mass market? What’s the ROI for cable programmers and operators—and how might 3D affect advertising and nascent interactive TV services? What is the business case for 3D programming that can offset the inevitable costs of producing and distributing it? And how can programmers and operators rolling out 3D products apply lessons learned from the HD rollouts of recent years? This Webinar will drill deeply into 3DTV, as experts explain the technology and business models that will prevail in the future. This is your chance to get your head around this emerging tech early—before your competitors can figure it out.
In this Webinar, you will learn:
- The basics behind the various 3DTV technologies and which ones will hit the marketplace first.
- The revenue models that may emerge as operators and programmers work together to make 3DTV a reality.
- Likely adoption scenarios as the technology rolls out in the coming months and years.
- The marketing challenges surrounding 3D tech.
- Details on how 3D costs facing cable systems as adoption grows, including capacity and equipment issues.
