Bio Miguel Monteverde VP of Digital Media Discovery Communications Miguel Monteverde is vice president of digital media at Discovery Communications, the world's number one nonfiction media company. In this capacity, Monteverde oversees digital and social media for Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery, Military Channel, Velocity and Destination America. Previously, he led Discovery Channel and Science's digital media efforts, leading the development of new digital audience experiences – from Discovery Channel's successful Aftershows for hit series MythBusters, American Chopper and Gold Rush to immersive experiences for Shark Week and Penn & Teller Tell A Lie. Monteverde also previously served as general manager of Petfinder.com and oversaw DiscoveryNews.com. Monteverde joined Discovery Communications in February 2008 after spending more than 10 years at AOL in a variety of programming and business roles, most recently running AOL's video site. He is also a former Army officer, a graduate of the University of Virginia and currently resides in Arlington, Virginia with his wife and kids. BioMac McKean SVP, Digital Media AMC As senior vice president of digital content for AMC, Mac McKean leads the overall strategy and operations for all of the network’s digital platforms, including amctv.com, mobile, applications, digital video, and games. McKean joined AMC in March 2007. McKean earned his Masters degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. McKean is also an interactive video artist. Installations of his work have been exhibited in the Dumbo Under the Bridge Art Festival and in various galleries and art events in New York, Miami, London and Brazil. |
