Jocelyn Egan serves as vice president, Discovery Solutions, the division dedicated to large-scale, cross-platform advertising sales deals and branded entertainment partnerships. Egan reports to Joe Abruzzese, president, advertising sales, Discovery Communications. In her role, Egan provides clients with comprehensive solutions to reach their business goals across Discovery’s family of assets, including its portfolio of domestic networks, Discovery’s digital offerings and the Travel Channel. Prior, Egan served as sales director for the group. During her tenure, Egan has been responsible for the highly successful Macy’s and Disney partnerships. These initiatives collectively leveraged the company’s assets including Discovery's networks, digital properties including online, VOD and podcasting, talent and Before joining Discovery, Egan was director of strategy at OMD in New York, where she spearheaded the development and execution of media strategies for clients including Gillette, HBO, Hershey and Visa. In this capacity, Egan oversaw the Gillette North American business and played an integral role in introducing the Venus razor to consumers via a highly integrated media program including TV, radio, out-of-home, web, events, collateral and guerilla marketing, a product campaign which proved to be one of the most successful in Gillette’s history. Egan began her career at BBDO media, where she rose through the ranks to serve as senior vice president, group media director. In this post, Egan worked as a strategic planning partner on brand campaigns for key clients such as Frito-Lay and Pizza Hut. Based at Discovery’s advertising sales headquarters office in New York, Egan received her BA in Marketing from SUNY Oswego. She resides in Long Island, New York with her three children.
