Why Her? NBCU’s effective distribution of the Beijing Olympics kept the amiable Baker high on our list. Similar success with Vancouver likely will see her rank high in ’10. Then there are the omnibus deals with Time Warner Cable and DirecTV and her brand-building via a 21-city tour for Bravo’s Top Chef.

Worth Watching? The Winter Olympics stages fewer events and doesn’t enjoy quite the cachet of its summer sibling, leaving Baker a less lofty height to attain. Still Baker will push to maximize distribution and set viewing records.

Year Ahead:

Comcast is the wildcard. As of this writing the deal seemed imminent.
