Time Warner Cable’s pending merger with Comcast hasn’t slowed down Chun’s workload, as she continues to negotiate retrans deals and lead other content-related deals. She also manages deal support for TWC’s video product group, which includes products such as TWC TV on IP devices. “For me, a successful career entails being lucky enough to be excited to go to work,” she says.

How do you define a successful career?

For me, a successful career entails being lucky enough to be excited to go to work. It should primarily be a place where you respect and genuinely like the people around you, and where you are still learning, creating and being challenged every day.

Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?

Have a spouse or partner who supports you and doesn’t keep score… someone who will seamlessly pinch hit and not resent that you have to prioritize work at that moment. And make sure to fully reciprocate!

When not in the office, where are we most likely to find you?

Our home. It is completely overrun with Legos right now because I’m either building Legos with my kids, or we are exploring NYC and its vast surroundings. After three years of living here, we are still tourists.
