An able negotiator who’s at the forefront of deal-making in support of TWC’s new venture and business partnerships, Ponnambalam manages the company’s finance projects with aplomb. It’s no wonder Time Warner recently elevated him to a more senior position. Assessing the leadership across cable, Ponnambalam says that although the industry has made strides, there’s still work to do. “When we look at the highest levels of most organizations, I don’t think we see the same diverse set of individuals and/or backgrounds as that of our customer base. Bringing in a broader set of views to the table—at all levels of an organization—can only lead to more robust debate and, ultimately, better decision making.”
