As TWC’s communications chief, East provides strategic counsel on companywide PR, corporate communications and industry affairs. The past 12 months have been particularly demanding, as she set overall communication strategy and key messaging for the company and its senior management during several protracted retrans negotiations, including with Sinclair. Additionally, when TWC became the first in cable to launch an iPad app for subscribers, East orchestrated communications strategies during sometimes tense discussions with several major TV programmers.
