Herbst-Brady has a talent for listening to clients, understanding what they are looking for and identifying turnkey solutions that deliver results. Those same skills aid in her mentoring, too. “I mentor many in the industry and it’s exciting to follow their careers as they navigate challenges, seize opportunities and flourish,” she says.

 

What’s the most important aspect of mentoring?

Mentoring is rewarding and powerful when you listen intently to each other and focus in on individual wants and needs. I mentor many in the industry and it’s exciting to follow their careers as they navigate challenges, seize opportunities and flourish.

 

What/who inspires you at work? What/who inspires you outside the office?

My children are my greatest inspiration. At Viacom, I’m surrounded by the best in the business and work with an unbelievable team of talented partners that love what they do. Sarah Iooss (SVP, Velocity Product Group) and Kalina Nikolova (SVP Strategy) are inspiring; they have an exceptional work ethic, steadfast commitment and always bring positivity into the office every day.

 

Your favorite trick for unwinding?

I enjoy walking around New York City in all seasons. Walking is my preferred mode of transportation and I find it incredibly calming and relaxing.
