I Hereby Resolve… …to continue to go everywhere that something is happening in cable TV. Well, when it doesn’t snow too much, and I’d have to miss the powder, or the waves aren’t just right and I’d miss the rhythm of the paddles, or… well, you get the idea. …to have a Happy New Year… off to a good start Monday skiing with friends and continuing a new tradition. For the past umpteen years, we’ve feasted on ducks and pheasants that John Goddard has murdered for us. The past couple of years, George Stein has rounded up all the carcasses and all the excess and created a New Year’s Day feast of duck soup and accompaniments. Recycling rules. …to watch as "cable" (well, they used to be "cable") networks continue to grow and grow and grow and hope they never forget how they got started and why they even got a chance to grow. …to continue holding Kevin Martin(et) accountable for his inexplicable vendetta against the cable industry. …to believe everything our government tells us… Oooops! That’s a tad contradictory, ain’t it? Oh, well. So be it. Nevertheless, CableFAX Daily will remain forever vigilant! Random Notes
