Greenburg Honored With Sports Stars
HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg was honored November 29 with the 2006 Corporate Leadership Award at The March of Dimes’ 23rd Annual Sports Luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York. Greenburg (far right) is pictured in the photograph above with his fellow honorees (from left): Andre Agassi, who received the organization’s 2006 Sportsman of the Year Award; IndyCar Series Driver Danica Patrick, its 2006 Sportswoman of the Year; and WNBA president Donna Orender, who received the organization’s 2006 Sports Leadership Award.
COX, DISCOVERY ARE WICT’S BEST FOR WOMEN
Women in Cable Telecommunications, based on the results of the WICT Foundation’s 2006 PAR Initiative, named Cox the 2006 recipient of the Forerunner Accolade for the Best Operator for Women in Cable. Discovery was named the 2006 recipient of the Forerunner Accolade for the Best Programmer for Women in Cable. Forty companies participated in the survey, which rated companies in the cable telecommunications industry on the basis of pay equity, advancement opportunities and resources for work/life support. The 2006 Accolade Awards were presented at the 22nd Annual WICT Foundation Benefit Gala November 15 in Washington, D.C.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT FOR DANIELS
Girls Inc. honored Lifetime Television’s president of programming Susanne Daniels at a ceremony November 16 in Los Angeles. Daniels was one of five individuals recognized by the nonprofit organization, which annually spotlights "women who by their daily example give girls the inspiration to achieve their highest goals."
